Merging Accounts

Hi 👋 it’s me Brookie here,

I’ve got multiple accounts on here, a few for testing purposes 😅, but also this one, which is linked to my atproto identity and another that I started using for writing before atproto integration was a thing.

I want to bridge the two together (you can do that, it’s as easy as connecting your handle in the settings of the non-atproto account), but for some reason I don’t want to commit to the merge 🥲

It doesn’t really make sense… it would be much easier to coordinate my posts in one place, but at the same time, I kinda like the separation.

Maybe it’s that there’s some posts that I’d rather not have tied to my identity. Maybe that’s fine. Maybe non-atproto accounts are a good option for more anonymity at the expense of not holding your posts in your PDS. (I’d really suggest just making a burner atproto account for this purpose though lol)

I don’t know why I’m being stubborn about merging my accounts, perhaps I’ll just use the secret blog transfer feature only I have access to, to transfer over just the blogs that I want.

Yeah, I’ll probably do that 🤗
